I.C. is a "Leader In Me" School

Walk into Immaculate Conception School and it does not take long to notice the large blue banners in the hallways. The habits practiced in every classroom are from Stephen Covey’s book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (https://www.franklincovey.com/the-7-habits.html). Principal Sharon Blentlinger, impressed with the habits and the results they had, instituted “The Leader in Me” at I. C. as a way for teachers and students to study and practice the seven habits. Not only are the seven habits present in the hallways, but teachers incorporate these tools for success into all areas of the classroom. The habits learned by students, coupled with the power of faith, inspire them to continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of their leadership as they also continue to spread the Gospel of Christ.

The Leader in Me Activities Include:

7 Habits for 7 Minutes- Teachers spend time during the week focusing on the habit of the month.

Leadership positions for students within the school
