We know the impact the corona virus has had on society and families changed priorities for many. Two of our treasured teachers took the summer to re-evaluate health and home. Understandably, the have been lead to close the book recording their years and adventures at Immaculate Conception. They will open fresh pages at home with their families as they care for the vulnerable in their lives and safeguard their own health. Laura Elwood both attended school and taught at Immaculate Conception. Her years of love and care for students are still discussed by parents of children grown and with families of their own. Kristi Stevens brought smiles to the faces of all her students. Her boys also bring smiles to the faces of their teachers, and their Christian kindness is a testament to such dedicated parents.
The Holy Spirit, ever our Helper, answered the prayers of Mrs. Blentlinger and brought two amazing additions to I.C.! We would like to welcome Dani Nichols and Mindy Smith to our school community as teachers! Both teachers attend I.C. parish, but have now joined in beautiful work of educating in our school.
Dani Nichols has accepted the position of 3rd grade teacher. Dani is married and she and her husband are members of our I.C. Church. Dani substituted at I.C. after graduating with her BS in education from UAFS and has spent the past four years teaching 3rd grade at Cook Elementary. Dani comes highly recommended with several accolades and certifications.
Mindy Smith has accepted the position of kindergarten teacher. Mindy and her husband, Stephen, and children are members of our parish. Their children are students at I.C. School. Sullivan will be in 1st grade and Ewing in 3rd. Mindy taught in the FSPS for 15 years and the last 5 years, she has taught kindergarten at FUM Day School. Mindy knows our school well as a parent and brings such a wealth of experience as a kindergarten teacher!
Thank you and we look forward to serving with you in our school mission!
