Accelerated Reader (A.R.) is a reading program that encourages children to read books on their independent reading level, at the completion of the book they are tested on the computer and awarded points on the number of correct answers. They use these points to buy small rewards and are given recognition, certificates and other rewards at different point levels (these may be different for different grade levels). |
